Plain of Acco

The Plain of Acco, is a narrow, fertile strip of land inland of ancient Acco. Acco was later called Ptolemais. Densely populated in ancient times, the plain was a productive and fertile agricultural area. The Mount Carmel Mountain range separates the Plain of Acco from the Coastal Plain to the south.
